Hi Sam, I read this story a while ago and didn't comment but it hasn't left me. The sheer cleverness and the sweetness of the story (well I think it's sweet) has stayed with me. It has a real Robert Heinlein feel to it - "By His Bootlaces" the first thing I ever read like this a very long time ago.

Now that I've buttered you up. Please may I borrow your description of the Fliers for my own time travel twist that will bring the dreadful creatures to Earth and Cardiff and our team. They will then torture poor Jack, poison Ianto and scare the f**k out of the team.
