Consent or lack thereof is the very reason I do not care for such fics. Perhaps because I'm new to the fandom and TW fanfics, I have yet to find a fic that has done a realistic depiction of a pre-Cyberwoman J/I sexual relationship.

My personal belief is that their relationship didn't start until after Countrycide.
