Fair enough. I have a normal under-counter freezer and it's constantly stocked to the gills. We're hopefully moving soon and might end up with two freezers, my own and the new house's one. I suspect both will be constantly stocked to the gills. I'm not good at keeping my freezer in order...

I guess I just imagine that American supermarkets are like the biggest ones here, multiplied by a factor of ten. My memories of them certainly are. So since my supermarket has 50+ varieties of stock (though obviously these are mostly iterations of chicken, beef and vegetable, there's also lamb, pork, ham, fish and "umami paste" in there) I figured American ones would be similarly diverse and comprehensive.
