It was actually more subtle than that! They let the official (a friend of theirs and a friend of mine) write the vows. Groom started reading his aloud, and it started off with the usual sappy, "you're wonderful," stuff, and then started in with "I'm never gonna give you up..."

He had to fight to keep a straight face - but he did it! The bride didn't manage it with hers, lol.
