So...I don't speak Tumblr. I don't understand how it works, though I suspect it's deceptively simple, but aside from occasionally venturing into its wilds to find macros, I try to keep away because it baffles the fuck out of me. I don't know how to communicate with people on Tumblr. Like, actually how to find an email address or a...comment box or whatnot.

And the thing is, someone said something on Tumblr and someone else linked me to it and now I can't tell them it inspired me and it makes me feel guilty. Because there's an awesome Avengers story idea / illustration here where...one of the people involved, I'm genuinely not sure who...said:

"Headcanon: Loki randomly shows up naked and sometimes female whenever he feels like it, and whenever Tony is too drunk to remember why sleeping with the enemy is heavily frowned upon. Tony whines about it in the mornings, but Steve is never sympathetic. They agree that Thor should never be told about it."

And then I wrote a fanfic.

So if you enjoy the fanfic you should go to the Tumblr post and like it, or possibly reblog it, or however it is the denizens of Tumblr show their approval of things.

Title: Extremely Hot And Currently Female
Rating: R (Tony/Loki)
Summary: Tony knows he shouldn't sleep with Loki, it's just sometimes he's drunk and she's female and he forgets why.
Warnings: Everything is clearly consensual, but there is intoxicated sex, unsafe sex, and semi-public sex. WELL IT'S LOKI YOU GUYS COME ON.

( The first one's a freebie. )

Fake cut takes you to the fic at Dreamwidth.

Most Tumblrs have an "Ask Me Anything" link or something like it in the header or sidebar, where you can leave your comment or, you know, ask a question of the Tumblr owner.

Mini Tumblr lesson:

If it's not in blockquotes, the person whose blog you're on said it (90% likely). In this case "sekra" made the art and wrote the comment.

If you just want to leave a little note for someone on Tumblr, then you just append "/ask" to the end of the person's URL (so sekra.tumblr.com/ask) and their comment box pops up. But be aware if you don't have a Tumblr, they have no way to reply to you directly.

And now to read about lady!Loki and drunk!Tony... >:D

It's when the blockquotes start nesting that I get really confused :D

Good to know about the /ask thing...

When that happens, there's usually a "source" or something in the bottom left-hand corner of the entry. Or at the bottom of the entry somewhere, depending on the person's formatting.

Also just be aware, the you can't put a recognizable link in an ask box comment. It was disabled because of spam problems. You just have to get creative with (.) com!

I have a random fic-related question, since you write SGA... Why does nobody write SGU? I'm about a quarter through the second season, so if it ends horribly and everyone hates it forever and ever, and that's why nobody writes it, uh, don't tell me.

SGU is the one that came after SGA, right?

I think a lot of fandom didn't transfer over because essentially SGA was killed to make way for SGU. I could be mistaking my facts here, but I believe most of fandom thought SGU was pretty stupid. But I literally know nothing about it, I'm not even sure what the U stands for :D

Ohh, that explains it.

I stumbled across it on Netflix. Not a big SG fan, but it has Robert Carlyle in it, and he's just pure awesome, and John Scalzi was the creative consultant, so it's a lot darker, and is harder sci-fi than you usually see on TV, which I like, but I can see how that too might've turned off a lot of the fandom.

Yeah, a lot of SGA fandom disliked SGU because of the "darker and edgier" tone shift, or SGA's cancellation, or both. There was some drama with some of the show runners getting kind of snippy about the more unenthusiastic reactions, too, which didn't help. It isn't anything to do with the actual quality of the show.

Ah, yeah, never respond to bad press. Or bad fan reactions. It just leads to trouble.

I suspect that if it'd been an original show and not part of the SG continuum, fandom would've loved it. Like, there's plenty of "dark, edgy" stuff that fandom loves, so...

I have never seen any of the SG except for SGU and that was solely for Robert Carlyle. He's is awesome. Do you watch him in Once Upon A Time? Marvelous especially his laugh. I won't menton the ending of SGU, but...

It was the maniacal laugh that sold me on Once, I gotta say. Just adore him.

Sam, it's WONDERFUL and I LOVE IT.

More Loki, hooray! I am also a big fan of your Steve, and your Steve & Tony interactions.

And the ever-increasing conspiracy of Avengers was wonderful, and naming the baby Thor, and. Yes. loved it.

Sam, you have a competency kink, right? Please oh please will you write Maria Hill/Natasha Romanov/Pepper Potts? It would be the most amazing competency femslash ever and NO ONE WRITES IT.

I do have a competency kink, but I don't have much of a kink for femmeslash, is part of it. :/ And Maria Hill has....well, she hasn't been very consistently competent TBH. She's kind of the adorable fuckup of SHIELD. :D

Ahahahahaha. Yes, Tumblr is the WORST for communication. It's just for reblogging cool things onto your own blog. Don't attempt to have a conversation. And credit is a shady thing there.

Have I told you yet how much I love your Tony? Your Steve is also awesome, although I kind of prefer him with Tony; Steve/Pepper takes some getting used to. But anyway, oh so funny and adorable!

Oh dear GODS do I love this. **makes embarrassing squeeing noises** Man, I'd give a lot to see a family reunion... I mean, mythologically Stark Lokison's half-siblings are Fenris, Jormundgandr and Sleipnir, a wolf, a giant serpent and an eight-legged horse. Add to those Nari and Vali, who're more or less hominid (though Nari got turned into a wolf who tore out his brother Vali's entrails) and Hel, who rules over the dead... That'd be one disturbing family picnic. It'd be difficult knowing just what (or who) exactly to serve...
