There's a Script (http://techie-buzz.com/how-to/revert-old-gmail-interface.html?utm_source=inpost&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=gmpush2) that people can try if they like, to get an older style back. I believe Stylish for Safari exists too, for those Mac users out there who don't use FF or Chrome.
