(no subject)

Someday I will blog about something other than work and The Dead Isle, but that day is not today.

(Dead Isle Chapter Fifteen is posted!)

Work is quieter after hell day yesterday, at least, and one of my coworkers finally seems to have noticed that while I am not actually here to wipe their noses, I have been filling that role.

Coworker: So I need to register for the conference.
Sam: Yep! Let me know if you need my corporate credit card.
Coworker: I hate doing that.
Sam: *wearily* Well it has to get done today, that's not really optional and it's my ass who has to fix it if you don't do it today. So if you want me to do it, I need your username and password to log into the site.
Coworker: Why...would I make you do that? I can do it, I just don't like it. You're not our dad.
Sam: It's not explicit in the job description, but it's kind of implied.

I'm expecting a gift for Father's Day next year.

Completely unrelated (sorry), but my boyfriend saw the Avengers last night and is talking comic books at me. I don't know comic books but hes talking, talking, talking, and then "Civil War". I said "Oh yeah." "Not the actual Civil War". "Yeah, I know. The superheroes all have to register. And Cap gets killed" "Wait, how do you know this?" "Oh, you know..."

So keep up the good work with your Sam Explains the Comics. You never know when we might find them useful.

LOL, I bet you freaked him right out. :D

The next Discussion is "Wolverine's School For Young Gentlepeople" because in some universe apparently Wolverine being headmaster of a high school made sense.

To be fair, I wouldn't try running a high school with anything less than superpowers and razor sharp claws

.....you make an irrefutably good point.

I too have found them useful! I have a weekly burrito-lunch date with a friend, and it is always on Wednesday so he can go by the comic book shop (I has car, he does not). Our conversations are somewhat eased by my lessons-from-Sam.

Though he loves non-superhero comics as well, and is editor-in-chief of www.spandexless.com.
