Proactivity, I has it!
I've been getting a lot of comments and emails right after posting Radio Free Monday, and I always hate to wait a week. So I thought I'd remind everyone that RFM goes up tomorrow, and if you have submissions, I can still work them in.
This is not to say that you should go find something to submit, because I'm a lazy ass who doesn't like to work more than I have to. But if you have something and haven't got round to sending it, now's the time.

Date: 2012-08-26 08:05 pm (UTC)I'm looking for 6 week internship opportunities in Dallas for the coming winter (beginning of Jan to mid Feb), as part of a yearly program my college does. I'm interested in working in education somehow, or with any type of community development, human rights, or environmental non-profit organization. I'm fluent in Spanish, and being able to use that would be awesome. Unpaid is totally fine. If anyone works somewhere that could use a free intern, or has a favorite group in Dallas that they think could use some help, please let me know! I'll watch comments, or you can email me at tree00faery at gmail.com.

Date: 2012-08-26 11:46 pm (UTC)I am seeking advice from the Café: I want to do a year of exchange study, in the US or another English-speaking country. I'm a geology major. I'm looking to make a list of places that (1) are LGBT-friendly, especially trans*-friendly; (2) have good to excellent public transportation; (3) have a reasonably low cost of living; (3a) will not utterly overwhelm / terrify a young hick from the sticks, e.g. probably not New York City. ;P
I'll be watching comments on RFM, or here are my journal posts on the subject: Dreamwidth http://justice-turtle.dreamwidth.org/78737.html / LJ http://justice-turtle.livejournal.com/109749.html
