Not dead yet!

I'm feeling better today, despite the insanity of this morning. It's fire-drill time in this building and one of our floors had their drill today, but the others have their drill tomorrow. Which is totally logical.

I have my sexy, sexy BRIGHT ORANGE safety cap and my clipboard with the roll sheets on it. I am ready to be the Safety Captain! To CAPTAIN THE SAFETY.

In the meantime, hands up all who thought Bulletproof Temp would be a Heroes fan! Yeah, I know, it's a shocker.

He's been pestering me for two days to download season two and watch it, which I am in the process of doing, and also telling me how Hiro is like Batman, which I am in the process of laughing off the stage.

And now I will stop typing, because Ow.
Also, inexplicably, my computer thinks it is 1:22 pm. I am slowly achieving time travel!

(NB: It is actually 3:22 local time. I nearly had a coronary when I looked down and, before my brain reminded me I take lunch from 1-2, did the math to figure out that I had three more hours of work and only one more hour's worth of painkillers.)

(NB2: I'm locked out of changing the time on my computer. Good thing they don't trust me with stuff like evacuation safety or the building's master keys.)
I was reading fanfic. For a non-fantasy-based television drama. This is how it went down.

Normal, normal, normal. Hey, main character is IC and funny in this. Normal, normal, normal, good grammar. Normal, normal norBAM SECONDARY CHARACTER SUDDENLY HAS WINGS WHAT.

I've never actually had a fanfic walk up to me and punch me in the head before. Ow.

It's not like I hate wingfic or anything, though it's pretty much nonexistent for the fandoms I roll in. It's just, it was all gearing up to be this thinky exploration of the hero's psyche and then, wings.

WTF, fandom.
