I won't write a full-on review, but if you're in Austin and its environs and you want to see some really top-notch theatre, check out Twelfth Night, playing on the UT campus tomorrow and in Round Top on the first. We went to see it tonight and it's extremely unique -- five actors filling out a cast of twelve, minimum. One actor played both Viola and Sebastian, for example, and one played both the Duke and Feste; he was especially good and did a lot of singing, which is rather nice. Normally in Shakespeare they fudge the singing a bit.
So, that's where I was tonight. Aside from mum rustling her squeaky nylon coat during the MOST dramatic scene of the entire piece and griping afterwards about the seats, it was grand. :)
Proof that Shakespeare is good for the brain.
