And then there was Wow Bao catering for lunch, hooray! I have dined on the company tab today.

The day has been pretty good, overall. Lulu hasn't contacted me back about the random wrong books they shipped me, but I have a phone number so if I don't hear from them tomorrow (after giving them a nudge today) I'll give them a call. Sorry, all those who are waiting for signed copies -- I'm doing my best...

In the meantime, have a succinct summary of temporal logistics in media, and an awesome article about historical female athletes, complete with nifty photographs. Rowing teams! Fencers! Boxers! Exciting.

Certainly I'm happier when not constantly thwarted, but it doesn't make for very interesting blog entries, I have to say.

LOVE the historical female athletes link! I think my very favourite picture ever (today, that is) is the first one with the elegant women with awesome hats and bustles about to duke it out bare-fisted. :D Where do you find these things?

I keep coming back to the one in the boat. I don't know why, but I find it very compelling!

Thwarted is being forced to lie down due to intense flu-like symptoms IN SPRING on the same day you get a job interview and an offer of a place in a quote-restricted degree.

It took me five minutes to type this. I'm not even joking.

I'm fairly certain that the picture of the female bowler is actually a picture of the ghost of a female bowler.

That one is kind of creepy, isn't it? :D

It is eerie. And I loathe bowling, so the idea of spending eternity stuck on a lane in that dress is deeply disturbing.
