(no subject)

You know, usually I have the nervous fits before the book goes up. Apparently now I'm on a time-delay, since I just stopped in the middle of making spaghetti and asked myself, what did you just do?

I'll calm down in an hour or two. I did finish putting the spaghetti in the crockpot. And made cookies! STRESS COOK? NOT ME.

I have been getting notifications about the signed-copy requests, but processing them involves copying and pasting a lot of emails and making a lot of notes, so I probably won't be doing all that until tomorrow. Still, rest assured, your comments are noted :)

It's a good thing I didn't take the blanket fort down...

As far as stress reactions go, this has to be one of the best. It makes you feel better AND you've taken care of lunches for the week! If only they could all be this productive.

Stress cooking is fantastic. I once went on a bender that kept me fed for a month. (It was law school stress. Excellent motivator.)

And this is pretty much why I made sure my reader was PDF-capable.

Reading school-related handouts? PFFT. Just a front for the real operation, I assure you.

I just wanted to say I devoured Trace yesterday, and it is one of the most phenomenal things I've ever read. Your world-building is completely amazing, and the magical realism is so note-perfectly well done. I think the presentation of moral gray areas without judgment or decision was extremely effective, creating quite the sandbox for the reader to play in.

Lurking is what I do best, but my response to this book was too overwhelming to not say anything. You're absolutely brilliant, and I look forward to many more fantastic novels in the future. (And I'm asking for paper copies for all of them come Christmas-time!)

I'm so glad you enjoyed Trace! :) It's always lovely to hear. And I hope there are many fantastic novels in the future too...

I didn't remember til exactly this moment, but I had a dream last night that I was in a bookshop and bought your book, it was two of them bound together, Trace and Extribullum (can't remember spelling or even if they're both books?). I thought as I bought it "Gosh, I have to tell Sam he's published in hardcover at real stores!"

Until right now I'd managed to forget it was a dream and thought it actually happened. I have crazy vivid realistic dreams. And I read the book during the dream and it was great, btw.

LOL! Trace is a book, Extribulum is a concept, but that's still very apt :D
