I am engaged in an epic war with technology this morning. It's like my own personal Terminator war. Since I arrived at work I've done essentially nothing but fix other peoples' computer problems, and in one miraculous case solve a malfunctioning website by the power of my presence alone. If you are having computer problems this morning: BE HEALED!

Well, worth a shot.

Dead Isle Chapter Twelve is posted, also. It would have been posted sooner, but I've been waiting patiently for the Emergency Drill to go because I don't want to post and then not be able to update all the places it's linked because I'm off safety-captaining, but apparently they're having trouble getting the loudspeakers to work.

This bodes well for an actual emergency.

I wish all problems could be solved by power of presence )) would make life so much easier, heh.

In my last few jobs, I was able to make malfunctioning photocopiers, fax machines and computers work simply by being in the same room. One woman couldn't get the fax to work unless I stood next to her - she was pressing all the right buttons, just needed me to be watching for it to work!

It's a very useful talent...

One of my colleagues plugged in her phone this morning and blew a fuse to our entire side of the office. Everyone's computers died - and bear in mind, we're all computer modellers. Luckily nobody had anything too vital going on and I think we all managed to recover from the situation pretty well.

WOW. And I thought we had problems with the kitchen fuses....

My router is shot and I work from home and the voip needs a specific router that I have to get shipped. My job won't pay me for the 2 days it will take to get it to me.

Ugh, sucks :(

I envy your power to fix things by your presence alone. I have the exact opposite talent: making previously functioning electronics start acting funny without actually doing anything.

I once got three cash registers jammed at work while performing routine transactions. Fun times!

Well, if there IS an actual emergency, perhaps you could get these guys (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=x0jBF912xYY) assembled... err.. involved?

OH MY GOD

IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER

Meh, they really should have had a Dukes of Hazzard explody-arrow for Hawkeye, either one of them. The rest of it actually worked as a late 70s/early 80's Avengers parody....the MASH Hawkeye just kind of spoiled it.

And Paul Lynde would have made an awesome camp Loki!

Welcome to my world... because that's basically a normal day for me.

Well, unless I'm in a mood, in which case everything that should work dies. Seriously, I've taken out an entire building's network that way.
