I am home! I encountered no end of interesting people on the journey. The guy in the seat next to me took a lot of video while he was staying in Vegas, including some spectacular footage of late-night street fights being broken up by casino security. Also, there were four cops on the train I took home. I've never felt safer.

Now is all the bedtime. Or, given my body thinks it's only nine pm, all the watching TV for an hour or two and then bedtime.

I really need to investigate Hawksmoor further. Stormwatch leaves me more or less uninterested; I liked what I read of the Midnighter run, but both are a bit gory for me (the violence is fine, it's the graphic visuals that I struggle a bit with).

I'm given to understand he talks to cities, which is relevant to all my interests. Does he have his own run?

Technically, yes he does. But to Jack, cities are like people. Some are needy. Some are off-putting. But in a pinch they always listen to him. He had Paris eat hostage takers.

Hawksmoor hangs out in the Carrier, a sentient cargo ship that is big enough to qualify as a city. The Carrier likes Hakwsmoor and his buddies.

A good place to start with the Authority is the Mark Millar/Brian Hitch stories.

How very psychogeographical this all sounds. I must investigate.
