We just picked up the four-in-one stereo I got for Christmas and I raided the family vinyl, which hasn't seen the light of day in probably a decade but was stored in a cool, dry place and is all in great condition. It was a great debate over which to play first, the soundtrack to The Jungle Book or Dylan's New Morning.

So now I'm sitting on the floor of my bedroom, listening to Bob Dylan on 33.

All I need is a joint and a caftan and I'm my father circa 1970. Far out, man.

the soundtrack to The Jungle Book

*wants*
I have a strange collection of Disney soundtracks on vinyl. I say strange because I'm not really sure how I got most of them. They're the only vinyl that I didn't get from my parents, and they just sort of started showing up. I even have the soundtrack for Song of the South. But I don't have The Jungle Book.

It was awesome! It had a picture of the characters on the record. I think Bernard killed it with scratches, though :(

That sucks. I've got a copy of Peter Pan which I think has a bunch of pictures included. My favorite find, however, has been the soundtrack to Dr. Zhivago complete with a picture book inside telling the story and other things about the music. Whoever owned it before me had children and they drew in red crayon on some of the pages, but it doesn't matter. It's still awesome.
