Son of a bitch, Origami Calendar, way to SPRING A SINK FOLD on your unsuspecting owners.

Today's diagram, the Eight Pointed Star, has a surprise sink fold in step three which I would not have been able to manage if I hadn't been ranging the internet for difficult and bizarre origami to suppliment the calendar's steady diet. Sink folds are evil things, designed to torment the innocent.

But I have to admit they do make awfully pretty stars.

I was folding a second one of these today when BossBoss walked up to my desk and said, "I just gave my thirty days notice."

That one ended up a little crumpled.

This very afternoon I was reading the horoscopes for June at Astrology Zone (finally got around to it) and for Virgo it said The first eclipse this month will arrive as a new moon solar eclipse in Gemini, 10 degrees, on June 1, and light your solar tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. This almost guarantees some sort of change will take place in your career. You may be given a promotion or the offer for a big position. Your boss may suddenly leave, and if he (and it would be a "he," not a "she" in a solar eclipse) always protected you, you would have to decide what your next move should be, to stay or go. I solemnly swear I thought, huh, hasn't Sam's boss been talking about leaving? I believe this explains so much about organized religion.

I sympathize. I told my old boss that the worst part of my new job would be that he would no longer be my boss. (This was a wonderfully amicable parting, as the leaving of the job was because I was graduating.)
