Wow, thanks for the awesome long reply! It's reassuring to hear that I might be able to get a job with just the Biology degree - I've been looking into MT certification programs and the one I've found in my state is pretty competitive to get into (I'm working on my application for it this month, whoo!). I should look more into the online options, those would be a good backup plan.
I definitely agree with you on the behind-the-scenes, not-being-bored thing, what initially appealed to me about med teching was that there seemed to be a lot of potential variety in the daily work. Sounds like fun!
