Happy Saturday!

Laocoon's Children has been updated; new beta commentary is up at [info]stealingharry :)

At the moment I'm sadly not even grappling with the stuff I'm writing now (a new River House story and Chapter Seven both went off to betas yesterday) but rather with issues in years two and three...

In a way it's a relief to have the first five years somewhat "mapped" for me, as I know precisely what I want to change, but in other ways it's tough to make the decision to change it :D
[info]juniper200, have you met [info]note_to_cat?

They're your kind of people.

*returns to ancient rome*
Mum: I like that Orlando Bloom fellow.
Sam: Yeah, but apparently he's dumber than a box of hair.
Bernard: What if he's not though?
Sam: What?
Bernard: What if he's really a great actor, and just in character all the time?
Sam: So you're saying he goes home and does advanced quantum calculus after a hard day of being utterly unable to change his facial expression from "vacant" to "anything else"?
Bernard: It's the perfect cover.
Sam: For what, a world takeover?
Bernard: Clearly. And if you know what's good for you you'll join his entourage of darkness now.

He does have a point.
A while ago [livejournal.com profile] vimeslady asked for a Snupin where Snape stole Remus from Sirius. I couldn't do that to the poor puppy as we knew him, but I'd had a little idea brewing in the back of my head for a while, and finally managed to get it on paper. I wrote it while waiting for the family to finish mall shopping this afternoon, and polished it up a bit when I got home; it's done in a series of drabbles, rising from 100 to 500 and back again.

NC17 rating for graphic sex and strong themes of domestic violence.

And now I'm off to dinner and a play. WAH I have no spare time.

( +Animals and Angels )

Commentary post-hack: I am not preserving most of the fic posts on this journal, and as you can see the cut is inactive; the fic is archived at Storyteller. I kept this post because I know Vimeslady really really liked the fic, and I thought it would be nice to preserve it.
And god said, "Where the fuck is Tim?"

And there the fuck was Tim.

If you're in the Austin area or will be in the near future, www.artsonreal.com has Noises Off! running for the next little while, and it's an absolutely splendid performance (especially given it's about a 60-seat theatre). There are women in underwear, mens' bare asses, people running with sharp objects, and amazing precision-choreographed fight sequences involving telephone cords and cacti.

(Pris, they're doing Bat Boy spring of 2005!)

Am off to bed. In the morning, I think I have an essay to write on the democratic attitude of the small time theatre.

("Ladies and gentlemen, please take your seats, the show will begin in three minutes...")
