Oct. 1st, 2004 02:02 pmMt. St. Helens is smoking. It's awesome.
Er, although of course, I hope it doesn't erupt and the whole lava flow of doom thing doesn't happen again.
(I feel a special weird affinity for Mt. St. Helens, because I saw an article about it in National Geographic when I was quite wee, and spent a lot of time in the sandbox dad built for me, building perfect cone mountains and then making them explode like the cutaway diagram in the magazine.)

Dude! I thought my friends and I were the only ones who did that!

What is it about that article that fascinated us, I wonder. Other than, you know, "OMFG STUFF BLOWING UP COOL!"

You must have been an interesting child. ... This from the person who spent a lot of time on the beach building sand-tunnels. But still, that's quite cool.

Oooh I did that too. Built tunnels with sandbridges over them, and then put my action figures under the bridges and FLOODED IT :D

BTW, they've raised it to level 3 and said that there is a 50% chance that molten lava will be involved. The believe that because there are now low, continuous tremors that hint of liquidness.

Sounds like bad porn if you ask me.
