Mar. 2nd, 2005 11:23 amI've been spending a lot of time trying not to think about some things lately *cough*thesis*cough* which leads me to think about other things, and make weird observations I normally wouldn't.
One of the things I've had a pet theory about for a while is the proliferation of intergenerational ships in HP in combination with the "damaged generation" theory of the first war. Stick with me on this.
( +The Lost Generation and the trouble with intergen. )
Commentary post-hack: I remember this vaguely, but what's behind the cut is lost. The idea was basically that the Marauders' generation was so decimated by the war that many of them have had to find partners that are either significantly older or younger than they are.
