I am home, fed, and reasonably settled, although the rainstorm rather prevented us from fully unpacking the trailer.

The most interesting thing that happened today was seeing a vulture, dining upon a roadkilled hedgehog, get hit by a mack truck. Which actually is pretty interesting in an awful sort of way.

Also, a Subway sandwich exploded on me.

More in the morning, when I'm not an exhausted pulpy mass of nerves.
Also, Sam's Three Things About Iron Chef America.

1. Cat Cora. Finally an American Iron Chef who isn't an ass. For the first time I'm actually rooting for the Iron Chef as opposed to the challenger.

2. Her sous chef is hugely tall. I can't get over the tall of her. So TALL!

3. Nothing is funnier than a huge dramatic musical flourish followed by the word "POTATOES!"
Still not dead!

The internet situation here at home is proving difficult -- all I have available to me is dialup, and the only access to a phone line is in the kitchen. In combination with my entire family being at home, this means I really won't/can't be around much the next few days.

We should have wireless soon, but pressing the issue is not an option given mum's volatile temper at the moment. Neither, however, is using the phone line overmuch, for much the same reason. So, yeah.

In other news: Number of fights with Bernard thus far: 1. Number of fights about Bernard: 2.

I have the feeling if only we could bottle the energy produced by Bernard's utter lack of concern for the feelings of the rest of humanity, we could replace gasoline with it.
