I'm also sure that this is, in part, humanity having a propensity to seek something recognisable in chaos. In addition, I'm aware that with the infinite variety of space came the likelihood that sooner or later we would find it.
But ye gods, this is unreal.

I was going to put a discussion of Newton, Lacan, and the "eye-dating" theory of Greek art here, but that thing has startled the wits right out of me.
