I picked this book up on a whim, actually -- it had been recommended to me by [info]setissma but the list of books recc'd to me is pretty long, so it was mostly a momentary inspiration that made me pick this one. I found it more informative than enjoyable, but it wasn't the kind of informative that's textbook-dry -- it was engaging, in a way.

Sounds pretty lukewarm, huh?

The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers )
So.

I've been editing Cartographer's Craft into one hugemongous html file to send to Simon, who has been plotting to .pdf it for me. Simon -- well, 1, are you still going to have time to do it, and 2, if so, are you willing to/capable of putting graphic files in the pdf? I'd like to include the Sealing Ring image, the Crypt King, and at least one shot of Fourteen Back, but none of them are vitally necessary.

Anyway, I'm almost done -- just working on the appendices, and shut up, it NEEDS appendices -- so I thought I'd post some final stats.

Cartographer's Craft final statistics after edit:
Standard Word Document pages: 525.
Size as an HTML file: 1300k.
Word count: 205,000.
Elapsed time: 22 weeks exactly from start to finish.
Average words per day: 1350.
Chapters: 43
Plot holes: 2 (shhhh, don't tell anyone)
Being finished: priceless.

There are some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's fanfic.
