So, FUNNY STORY, a thunderstorm came last night and exploded our garden and the grill blew over and the porch swing is now a lying on the lawn at the bottom of the garden swing.

Fuck it. First person who wants to sit on the porch swing can pick it up and move it back. Fucking stupid to buy a porch swing in the middle of a week of solid thunderstorms anyway.

Okay, it's Help Sam Find The Obscure Anime Film time!

Last time you guys found Ringing Bell, which was awesome (actually the movie was not as awesome as I recall, but the fact that you guys found it from "Sheep" "Wolf" "Big ass ram monster thingy" was pretty out of this world).

Here is a bigger puzzler for you. When I was quite wee I saw this film at someone's house, obviously not meant for my eyes, and two images from it have given me nightmares ever since. Here are the images: NAME THAT ANIME.

1. A hunchbacked scientist or doctor of some kind, an evil-madman-genius type, who had one eye way bigger than the other.

2. Somehow this man had amassed an army whose soldiers could, when he commanded them, form together like legos to make a solid wall, and he built a fortress out of them somewhere towards the climax of the film.

(If this was nothing but a dream I'm going to be sincerely disturbed.)

I claim it to be Unico and therefore will accept responsibility on the offchance it's not. But I'm pretty sure it is ;) What actually happened in the film is this...that scientist is a magician who turns people into toys. He has an apprentice named Toby who is learning magic so he can help his sister, or something. Unico is a baby unicorn who travels the globe spreading joy and love (and hiding from the gods) or something, and he gets 'adopted' by Toby's sister. Oh noes! :D

It's a crazy little anime. The only reason I know about it is 'cause my parents taped it off Disney and my best friend and I used to watch it all the time...^_^;;

OH MY GOD. It was UNICO! Do you know how long I have been looking for this as well?! The whole thinking Unico was a cat threw me off.

Unico in the Island of Magic is what you're looking for, sir! I think. I'm about 90% sure of this! Sigh, you make me feel nostalgic, Sam! This was my first anime, back when I was six or so....
