More Six Degrees -- Richard Griffiths, who plays Swelter in Gormenghast, also played Phipps in King Ralph, which I watched just a few days ago (I don't care what you say, that is an enjoyable quality film *straight face*).

I managed to make that connection, but the connection I failed to make is that he also plays VERNON DURSLEY in the HP movies.

I fail at cinema.

I do rather feel as though I should rent a bunch of his movies now, because he's weird looking and so a bunch of weird, interesting films have cast him.

In other news, Ouran 15 totally lived up to its unsubbed promise. Except I was hoping to get more context for the RANDOM ELEPHANT-SLASH-PENIS MOMENT and, yeah, not so much.

As ever, Kyoya 1) pwned everyone and 2) is totally doing it with Tamaki.
We have named the monstrous new car The Creature, or rather I have and will continue to call it that because it is big and green and faintly smelly we don't like it, just like the Creature From The Black Lagoon. Rainette named it. *points at her* It's fitted out for Onstar Capabilities, so once we have OnStar I will rename the console Tom Servo.

I took it out on errands today, down to the local Walgreens and back to get some envelopes and various other sundries. It is big, and we do not like it, precious. Also, Austin drivers are notoriously insane and will tailgate IN A SCHOOL ZONE, FUCKERS, so I slowed down to fifteen miles an hour, which I reckon cost Ms. HumVee behind me about seventy five cents in gasoline and possibly a couple grand in hospital bills for that high blood pressure.

Fortunately plans are firming up for Chicago, some tickets have been bought and websites visited and that amazing nuclear bomb of information you guys dropped on me has been collated into a big long document that I cannot go five minutes without consulting, so WELL DONE, READERS OF SAM.

I may have bought myself an ice cream for driving, but I claim it doesn't really count since it was a McDonald's ice cream, which is really just cold whipped plastic.
Hey, St. Louisians (St. Louiees?), hope y'all are keeping safe right about now.

(of course none of you will SEE THIS as St. Louis has no power, but you will know I was thinking of you when you return!)

Remember that things go bad in the fridge and freezer! I advise you to eat all the ice cream and then barbecue any meat you happen to have lying around while finishing off the beer before it gets warm.
