Dec. 8th, 2006 10:04 pmWell, that was interesting.
I worked from ten to three today, which is the standard shift during training, and then caught the train back with just enough time to quickly shower and do some laundry before I headed out to a show. One of the theatre people I've met in town had tickets to a local small-theatre production, so I was kind of half-exhausted and half-stoked to see a play. Unfortunately, it was cancelled. So, I ended up going back to her apartment and hanging out with her and her boyfriend for a while. It was a lot of fun, and they're nearby so I had the option of either walking home or taking the El. I decided to walk, since I needed to come down from the adrenaline of Socialising With New People. It was chilly, but I had warm clothes so I was all right walking. It's a nice walk, too, for the most part, I just wish the Thai place on the corner stayed open a little later, I could have had hot thai food.
The job is going well, though it's not the greatest job to have when one is pathologically afraid of telephones. I guess I just suck it up and cope; I didn't do too badly during the phone roleplaying today. It is a lot of fun to pick out peoples' seats for them.
Also, I came home from work to find that my fridge door had been slightly ajar all day. I'm not sure if anything actually spoiled; I guess I'll find out if it starts to smell.
Okay, bed now. I have work tomorrow too, and I'm seeing another show in the evening, and then Sunday, blissful Sunday, I have OFF.
