Dexter caught another centipede.

What worries me is not so much that I have a pet spider who catches house centipedes with such regularity. What worries me is that this means there are regularly house-centipedes in my apartment. This thought keeps me awake at night, something not even the Junebug Invasion of '04 managed to do.

I actually saw this one walk into the web and do battle with Dexter. It was like Wild Kingdom in my living room.

Possibly I need to get out more.
Is it possible, do you think, to write yourself sick?

This "weekend" -- Sunday and Monday, for me -- I wrote three chapters of LC. Three. I opened up a fourth and put down about two thousand words on it this afternoon (LC chapters run between 3800 and 4500 words for LJ-archival reasons). And I actually got all the crap on my to-do list done, too, except for the Great Oatmeal Experiment which is not really time-sensitive.

I started feeling a bit ill this evening, and haven't yet had dinner because -- well, I'm not hungry, and the muscles in my right side are cramping. So I minimised the file and walked around the flat and got ready for tomorrow and started feeling better and then sat down and reopened the file and felt sick again. I may actually have overdosed on fanfic.

The thing is, it's not like it was a "push" -- I didn't have to force it, it just came, and some of the things that emerged were startling. It's good stuff, and it fills a few plot holes left over from year two. I'm pleased with it.
