There is no hot water in my flat. Not just "the hot water takes a while", there's no hot water. There's no lukewarm water, even.

Which, you know, I'd be less worried about if my flat was not essentially heated through the use of hot water.

Yup. It's a Monday.
OMG WTF snow. Am safe @ clinic. Reading King & enjoying the day off.
Free lunch! Such extravagance. Still here. (ljtxt messages getting annoying yet? :D )
I'm home! I have an IV bruise in one arm and I'm a quart low on blood, but otherwise doing fine. Sorry about the textposts, but it's very boring, sitting around in hospital. I did a crossword and a sudoku, finished my book on the Hitler fraud (v. unsatisfying), and listened to most of the Ian Carmichael "Murder Must Advertise" radio drama.

And hey, dig it, the hot water is back! I didn't even bother calling because I knew everyone else in the building would and I was going to be gone for the day, but I guess they got it fixed regardless of it being a holiday. My opinion of our super has jumped a notch or two. :D

It's still snowing, but very lightly and I doubt it'll stick for long. It was more startling than troublesome -- looking up from my book to see snow gently falling outside was not something I had expected.

I can see why some people become surgical addicts. It was very peaceful, sitting in a chair, reading and watching the snow fall, knowing that I wasn't required to be anywhere or do anything.

Okay, naptime for Sam.
