According to the free local paper and the CTA officials involved, this will quintuple my commute time and cause me to grow Borg implants on my face. I don't know, the free paper is always hysterical about things, and the CTA is not exactly known for its accurate information about anything else, so I'm just going to keep riding the train like normal until the implants show up.
Today, the first day of "El Hell", it took me 20 minutes longer than usual to get home, but only because the goddamned bus I take to the El was 15 minutes late. So, whatever.
I don't work again until Sunday, so I'm going to be cleaning and running errands and catching up on all kinds of things, if I ever manage to stay awake for more than an hour at a time.
I'm going to take off my wristwatch now, and who knows what wild and crazy things might happen then!
