Feb. 8th, 2007 09:30 amI watched V for Vendetta last night and...
Well, I have some mixed reactions to it.
There were some parts of the film I liked enormously. The artistic direction was superb, and some of the "parallels" running through the film were deftly done, such as the two men with secret caches of art. Visually it was superb. Some of the writing was excellent.
Some...well, was not.
( What I Think )
Final Verdict: Worth a watch for the art alone, I suppose, but I found its political message a bit shallow, in the end. Of course there's only so much you can cram into two hours of film, but I could have done with a little less swordplay if it meant a little more depth.
