Okay, I am tired of this whole "germs" thing.

On the one hand, I love being sick and enjoyed my recent hospital stays, because it gives me a justifiable excuse to do what I do best, which is be useless. My base resting state is "thinking about writing fanfic", "reading", and/or "not doing the dishes." But because I was raised by a woman whose base resting state is "oh, the dishes need doing!" and mentored by a man whose motto was "Accept the praise and then work harder", I have issues with Not Doing Shit. So it's nice to have an excuse.

On the other hand, every time I look at food I get nauseous, every time I think about cooking I go back to bed, every time I breathe I cough, every time I cough my nose drips, and I'm beginning to be genuinely worried that I have something serious like strep throat, which would involve going to a doctor, or at any rate a free clinic, and the only free clinic I've been able to find seems to be heavy on the "treating alternative sexualities for STDs". And hey, I'm all for treating people for STDs, but sometimes they look at you funny when you suggest it is your throat that's giving you issues.

Also, I'm tired of whining about it on LJ, because it is boring. :D

I did manage to get off a job application today. I have to say, while jobs requiring my skills don't come around as often as some other types, when they do they have tasty, tasty benefits and salaries attached. Wish me luck...
I HAS A SHELF.

I went to the store to buy more drugs please some drugs that work please give me drugs please my nose omg drugs apple juice, and I walked home down the rather lengthy rear-alley that lets off the back of my building. LO AND BEHOLD, someone had put out a bunch of free-to-good-home shelving. So now I have a shelf that I need to wash and somehow attach to the wall, once I can sit upright again.

I am reduced to making entries in LJ that are basically stream of consciousness with better punctuation. Oh look, a squirrel. XD

I did find two book reviews that I wrote last week and never bothered posting. The other needs a bit of tweaking, but at least this one's not twaddle about second-hand bookshelves and apple juice. *grins*
