May. 17th, 2007 10:28 amWell, finally, some new HP material from me!
It's not posted yet, but it will be. And that's why I'm pimping now.
If you are attending Phoenix Rising, the pottercon this weekend, please please PLEASE consider going and auditioning for roles in the new Spellcast Radio Play. It's a new play, a new fic as it were, and I wrote it, and I adore writing for Spellcast. :)
Now, the cast is fairly large, and they need a lot of people. There are roles for those who can't fake an accent, roles for those who can, roles for men and women, roles for women who want to play men, roles for youth, and roles for every age after youth. I'll have more info eventually, but you can talk to anyone manning the Fiction Alley side of things, they can point you in the right direction, or drop a line to [info]heidi8.
If you aren't interested in performing, the audience also has an active role in "responding" to the play and I urge you all to go and sit in. It's not very long, and I promise there's at least one funny line. :D
The new play is titled The Three Trials of Severus Snape. The cast list is as follows:
Minerva McGonagall
The Examiner (Possibly an American accent)
Dolores Umbridge
Three witches/wizards from the Salem Institute (American accents)
Nymphadora Tonks
Remus Lupin
Draco (late teens)
Harry (late teens)
Young Severus Snape (age 15 or thereabouts)
Contemporary Severus Snape (age 38 or thereabouts)
Albus Dumbledore
Poppy Pomfrey
One audience plant
One member of the "second trial" examining board
The play is based around the theme of McGonagall narrating three events in Snape's life: the day after he was nearly killed by Lupin, his "hearing" to determine if he should be tried as a Death Eater following the first fall of Voldemort, and an examination post-DH regarding whether he knowingly murdered Albus Dumbledore. Lupin has a great speech, as does Harry, and the Examiner is a role I'd like to play myself.
