Well, life was a little more eventful this morning...

Bless him, I don't generally peg R as being an observant type, but he's noticed that I'm up on a pretty regular schedule, sometime between six and six-fifteen daily. Generally what happens is that my alarm goes off at 5:45 and I sleepily re-set it for 6:10 while I begin the process of waking up. I'm a morning person, so once I'm upright I'm wide awake. It's the getting-upright that takes some time.

Anyhow, this morning I set the alarm for 6:10 as my failsafe and then promptly switched it off by mistake, so I ended up flailing awake at 6:30 when R came into my room to wake me.

"You're always up by now," he said, and I thanked him sleepily and forced myself to get a shower. You always thank the person who wakes you up, because it's a really asshole thing to, for example, ask your roommate to wake you up and then shout at them when they do. Not that this has ever been done to me. *rolls eyes at ex-roommate*

My to-do list suddenly got really long this morning, too. I have two bills to pay, shoes to buy, three separate doctors to locate and get appointments for (Dentist, neurologist, GP), I need a haircut, and I really need to sit down at the computer tonight and look through all the stuff I've been sent that I can't look through at work because it's videos or songs or whatnot.

Welcome to my Wednesday!
Happy Birthday, Mr. Shakespeare.

Sonnet 64

When I have seen by Time's fell hand defaced
The rich proud cost of outworn buried age;
When sometime lofty towers I see down-razed
And brass eternal slave to mortal rage;
When I have seen the hungry ocean gain
Advantage on the kingdom of the shore,
And the firm soil win of the watery main,
Increasing store with loss and loss with store;
When I have seen such interchange of state,
Or state itself confounded to decay;
Ruin hath taught me thus to ruminate,
That Time will come and take my love away.
This thought is as a death, which cannot choose
But weep to have that which it fears to lose.
