*knocks on Google's bedroom door*

Google? Hon, are you okay?

Listen, I know you're young and sometimes when you're young you don't always want to hang out with us old folks who used to use Dogpile and Yahoo and hotmail, but you can't stay in your room forever. We need our email! And our search engine!

*sighs*

Okay. Maybe you can have a nap and you'll be less cranky later.

(Seriously, guys, where has all the Google gone?)
Happy Father's Day to US residents, now go call your dad.

I called Dad Lucky this morning and wished him a happy Father's Day; the ladies of the house took him out to Pancake House, potentially his favourite place in the world after Fry's Electronics, and now they're watching The Sting. Funny story -- I bought The Sting in high-def for him for some Christmas past, not realising that it needed a high-def DVD player for full effect. So basically, Merry Christmas, I Got You An Excuse To Buy A New Gadget.

He loves gadgets. If I had outright asked him for $400 for a new phone he probably would have given it to me but given me crap about it, but when I asked him to buy it for me himself, man, you couldn't get him in the car fast enough.

He's been married to Mum for almost a year and a half now, and we have a pretty groovy relationship. We talk about:

1. Weather
2. Whether I need any equipment for my computer
3. Why it's easier for him to buy it for me and ship it
3a. Olives*

Which is perfect, because that's a ten-minute phone conversation and then we can both get on with our lives. Occasionally around the holidays we'll branch out and discuss his ever-evolving Turkey Soup recipe.

Frankly, when Bernard's shit went down at Christmas, he could have walked and I doubt I would have blamed them. Mum was a terror to be around and Bernard was infuriatingly stupid. But he stuck around and voluntarily offered to help in any way he could, including way more money than my brother is worth. So, yeah. Decent guy. Happy to call him Dad, when I can remember. :D

* He owns some land outside of Austin, and is going to plant an olive orchard on it. I KNOW. How cool are my parents?
The thunderstorm is gone, and Google is back! Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

Maybe Google was hiding under the bed too.

Also, cake batter ice cream ala Rami&Selkie = SUCCESS!

That is all! Breckonridge!
