Oh my god this is uncool.

I've had a slightly runny nose since Saturday but I figured it was the pressure change or something. Today I've spent all day making that face that you make when you're about to sneeze, the one that makes even certified geniuses look like morons. Also my sinuses have pushed into my brainpan and are making me The Dumb. My brains, apparently, are pouring out of my head through my nose in order to escape. Otherwise I can't see how anything in my body could produce so much mucus on such short notice.

Also I got yelled at for someone else not telling me that they wouldn't be in today.

And I haven't called the bank about my mortgage that isn't right or the mortgage broker about...something else, I don't even know, and seriously how is it fair that I have to find both a condo and an apartment at the same time and do all the mortgage work?

I just want to go home and eat a lot of soup.
I have been appointed R's new girl-screener.

I came home miserable and angry and congested and not only did I have two packages, one of which is a Wii mum sent me, but R had bought Chinese food to say thank-you for preventing him from sleeping with Drama Girl on Saturday, because in his own words,

"I've never said this ever before, but by last night I was this close to punching a girl."

Apparently she didn't shut up the entire drive home from the radio show, which is easily two hours. And then got into it with her friend again on Monday morning. So he's very grateful she's gone.

Also, I gave him the Best Birthday Present Ever (tm), a four-volume set of blues and soul music produced by Stax Records, one of the most awesome recording companies of all time.

*curls up on the couch with tofu soup*
So I just sat down with mum and had a really tedious phone call, but I did suggest to her the idea of getting a flat for a year in order that I not go insane, and she agreed.

HUGE WEIGHT x LIFTED = SAM

I already feel so much less insane even though I still have to find a flat.

Also, tornado warnings for Cook County, wtf. Poor R and Bluesgirl, he took her to a Cubs game this evening and now it's all rained out. They just came in, sopping wet, and Bluesgirl is now wearing an old sweater and a blanket while we dry her clothes. I'm lovin' the thunderstorm, but then I always do.

Seriously, it felt so good to take the fifty page binder of housing information out of my messenger bag and put it in with my other files. Jesus Christ.
