OH HOLY WHAT.

I love technology and I am fully prepared to get the internet implanted in my head and/or embrace our new robotic overlords, don't get me wrong. This robot is seriously and deeply cool, particularly that it can stabilise on its own (watch what it does when the dude kicks it). It looks like it's really happy to be trottin' along for the camera.

And yet at the same time it looks so much like two pairs of disembodied human legs that it's like one of those optical illusions where you have to refocus certain parts of your brain. I can see it as a cheerful running robot, or as a horrific automobile accident.

Living in the future is awesome, but also just a little unnerving at times.
Am I the only one who thinks the robot linked in my last entry would actually look way scarier with a head? Really, stop and imagine that thing, prancing up a hill, with, say, a taxidermied horse's head on the front or something. Even if you put a robot head on it, I would have Terminator flashbacks.

Though I think a set of longhorns on the front would add nothing but class, don't you?

It has been snowing all day here. I was going to cook today, but old habits die hard and Saturday is my traditional "day off", so I haven't. I did clean the living room, and decided that I need another table, probably a lowboy. Though I'm thinking of rearranging the furniture, because at the moment I'm not really taking advantage of the sheer weirdness of my living room's basic shape. I'm thinking of putting the TV up against the front window, but the problem then becomes that if the couch is facing it, it's right there in the middle of the room and makes the space seem much smaller.

Eh, I'm a scenic designer, I'm used to laying out living rooms with only three walls and no television.
Problem: solved!

I'm slowly catching up on House MD, and currently watching the one from last season where he diagnoses the soap star.

They're...not really even trying to pretend he's straight anymore, huh?
