I am still not dead! Hooray!

I forgot to mention we were going offsite today, but fortunately I brought my laptop along and I'm all ported in, so I won't miss much. :D

We had an ice storm last night, or more properly this morning -- I woke up around one am to find:

1. Ice was rattling against my bedroom window and
2. The people in the flat across the (two foot wide) alley from my back window were having painful sounding sex. I mean, it sounds like they were having a great time, but people don't usually scream like that unless they're overacting or injured in some way. I cracked up laughing, rolled over, and went back to bed.

The ice storm also, shockingly, caused the pavement to be very slick and resulted in me falling down again, but I'm okay and I think I can chalk that one up to, you know, the ice-laminated cement and not my own personal inner-ear issues.

BossBoss let me go home early because I wasn't really doing anything useful and also my knee was starting to cramp up, which was thrilling when faced with the prospect of a third-floor walkup.

I got up to my flat okay -- getting down the steps at the Sheridan El was actually way more painful. But now that I'm here I'm here for the rest of the day. *huddles, elevates leg*
