I am stupid excited about having Friday off. A whole day! Just for me! I'm going to Ikea, and Mitsuwa if there's time, and then in the afternoon I'm getting a haircut.

The level of thrilled I am about having A Day Off indicates that I really, really need to take some kind of solo holiday soon. Not that I don't love staying with friends or visiting my family, and not that I don't love my job, but I really, really love being alone. And even when you're alone in your own home, you're surrounded by your stuff and memories of stuff you did and reminders of stuff you need to do. And your ex-roommate knows where to find you if he's lonely/bored/hungry.

Anyway. In other news, Hanners is quite right to mistrust anything with an ovipositor. hija_paloma is proud that one of our first interactions involved her explaining how much worse June Bugs actually were, compared to my tame preconception of them.
