Well, Mum and I are off to abduct a Go Car and divide our day between wandering numerous antique stores and shopping for some basic necessities for my flat. Hopefully we can occasionally combine the two!

Though I'm not buying an antique toilet brush. I don't care HOW good the price is.

Mum brought some Botan Rice Candy to snack on, and asked if I wanted the little sticker that comes with it. I'll have to scan it in later; it's a cat who seems very, very appreciative of some meatball kebabs.

I AM BACK.

So is Mum, but she's napping. Today was a very full day.

Now we're home and Mum is on the phone with Lucky WHO, BTW, LOVES THE BATTER BLASTER PANCAKE CAN. I couldn't get mine to work properly, the pancake burned before it was ready to flip. BUT I DIGRESS.

We are home and safe and about $100 poorer, but rich in ketchup, salt and pepper chips, bath accessories, and joy.

As may be inferred, I walked more than usual today and yesterday. My ankle was killing me, so I set up my little towel-and-pillow so I could ice it, with ice pack in hand. I went to lift my foot up onto the pillow so I could wrap the ice pack around my ankle....

...at the same time Mum reached down to grab my ankle and help me lift it up.

Frankly we're lucky I kicked her in the hand, and not in the face.

She's got a stiff hand and I've got swollen toes, but I think we may have solved the mystery of Where I Get This From.

We're watching Four Weddings And A Funeral tonight, which is one of my favourite films and which she hasn't seen since it was released. I've seen it so many times I can practically recite lines along with the cast, but "In the name of the father, and the son, and the holy spigot" was totally new to her and she died.
