Mar. 22nd, 2010 12:03 pmWhen I encountered Omega Males And The Women Who Hate Them this morning, I honestly thought it was going to be another tired retread of how nice guys don't get girls and how women shouldn't actually fall for kind, sensitive men, because their lives will be passionless and ordinary.
(Because, as we all know, the man you marry defines your life experience from here on out, ladies. Incidentally, btw, fuck people who want to tell women they shouldn't like nice guys because nobody else does, and fuck everyone who says that to be kind and courteous automatically implies a lack of masculinity.)
Omega Males is not about Nice Guys Finishing Last, though, so I'm glad I gave it the benefit of the doubt. The problem is I can't quite figure out what it is about. I have literally never encountered any of the media they discuss in the article. I've at least heard of some of it...?

I'm not sure if I'm actually annoyed at the article for focusing on something that is pretty meaningless, or at the pretty meaningless thing which could (OH THE IRONY) be more meaningful.
So instead, to make this whole thing interesting, I present to you the 200-euro front-brim fedora. I'm not sure if it's totally awesome or the dumbest thing I've seen in a while, but I do know that if I'm going to pay two hundred euros for a fedora, frankly, I'd want a full brim.
And a colour other than pink. "Beige" my ass.
