It is Monday. Didn't that just happen? Why do we have another one? I'm going to write a letter of complaint.
I can't remember most of Saturday, aside from watching Doctor Who. I wasn't drunk or anything, I just don't remember it. This is the real reason I keep a blog: I'm not going to remember anything I did, a week from now, and it's a handy reference guide.
DEAR SAM OF THE FUTURE: Today you forgot to pack both breakfast and lunch. Way to go, champ.
I also have a fanfiction for you all. This story arose out of my adventures in Classic Who, specifically Tomb Of The Cybermen, which is a very ambivalent-making episode. On the one hand, as another fan has pointed out, it's almost better just as an audio; on the other, it is a really juicy Cyberman story, and some of the visuals are genuinely creepy. Most important to me, however, was the idea that Cybermen are capable of controlling humans telepathically. There's a whole scholarly essay to be written about the way the Cybermen's interaction with humans evolves as real-world digital technology evolves, but that's a discussion for another time.
For now, please enjoy:
