Apr. 22nd, 2010 12:34 pmGetting this out of the way, lest I be linked again: yes, I have seen that FOX shot down Torchwood USA, and mostly I am unsurprised.
I have the headache of all headaches today, which is a shame because by 10:30 I had cleared out all my work, most of my non-work work, and my entire bookmarks file, so I could be working on Charitable Getting right now if I wasn't just trying to make sure I could still focus on the screen. (I read over my notes this morning, and felt like crying when I realised how much work was ahead of me. I'd forgotten an entire section of notes called STRENGTHEN THE THROUGHLINE and man they are going to suck so hard.)
I just need to keep reminding myself that this story isn't like Nameless; Nameless was two people and a simple straightforward story, whereas this is an ensemble and the plot's a fair puzzle and kind of weak anyway. I will never write murder mysteries for precisely this reason. Anyway, the point is, I can't compare them or the process of rewriting them.
I think I'm about to grow as a writer. This sucks.
