Dec. 15th, 2010 12:45 pmOur building's new security measures went live this morning. PANIC! PANIC IN THE STREETS! (Not at the Disco. They broke up, didn't they?)
I should point out our staff have had about two weeks in which to test whether or not their ID cards will get them in through the turnstiles. They've also had me, emailing them every few days to remind them to check whether or not their ID cards will get them in through the turnstiles. They are of course therefore shocked when they try their ID cards at the turnstiles for the first time today and they don't work.
I am OUTRAGED! I do a very important job for this company! Now I'm going to go have to fill out some paperwork or something! What does it TAKE to get ACCESS TO --
Wait, you can do that for me, Sam? Well, how long will it --
What do you mean you just did it. That's all you need?
Oh. Okay. Can I have a chocolate from your candy dish?
You'd think I'd be annoyed, but after the third or fourth surprised look I got when I fixed the problem in thirty seconds or less, I started feeling a bit godlike.
