Jan. 2nd, 2011 11:25 amI have arrived home in Chicago! After a very early flight, next to a woman who had just finished her night shift and thus was treating herself to several beers.
I understand the urge to have a drink after work, and I understand that some people get nervous about flying, but you guys, from me to you, do not go the sloppy-drunk route on an airplane. Trust me, the people sitting next to you are not actually enjoying your insights about the book you're reading, nor do they like being pawed every time you want their attention to share your insights, and they don't want to hear about your childhood growing up on a farm in Indiana. Just FYI.
The great thing about wearing my Christopher medal when I travel is that if the trip goes smoothly, I can say, well, it's because I wore my medal! And if the trip goes less than smoothly, I can say, think how much worse it would have been if I hadn't been wearing my medal. That is Headology.
Anyhow, time for a nap and then unpacking. Hope you all are having a quiet Sunday. (Or Monday, for some of you...)
