Okay, that was next door to painful.

I got a story idea tonight in the middle of dinner (Burger Joint: still the finest speakeasy hamburger in Chicago!) and I don't even remember finishing my fries or leaving or most of the train ride home. I HAD TO GET HOME BEFORE I FORGOT THE STORY.

And then I came straight in, dropped my jacket in the hall, threw myself into the chair, and wrote for an hour solid. I'm shaking from the comedown, this is awesome.

Literature: if you do it right, it's better than sex!

Anyway, it's an original short story driven by my weariness of a) politics in general, b) Super Tuesday in specific, c) campaign ads, and d) the fact that reality TV is trending upwards, according to media commentators.

And so I lay at your feet, unedited, probably deserving of expansion into an awesome satire novel:

By The People (or, How Reality Television Did Away With Campaign Ads)

I think I need a nap now.
