Mar. 9th, 2012 10:44 amSo, I'm not sure if someone recommended Richard Stark's "The Hunter" to me -- I track who reccs things now, but I didn't do that when I first kept my reading list -- and anyway, I'm kind of hoping nobody did, because wow. That is a truly, truly terrible work of pulp. I got thirty pages into it and just couldn't do it anymore.
But! I know
la_rainette recommended Max Barry's "Company" to me, and I did thoroughly enjoy that.
( Spoilers for Company )
Final Verdict: Run away from Richard Stark's work as fast as you can! But Company by Max Barry is a really fun book, especially for people who work in the cubicle farm.
