Apr. 24th, 2012 09:26 amWell, I hit the minimum-necessary-for-submission 25K wordcount last night on the Ancient Roman Porn. Estimate I still have another ten thousand words to write before I finish it. FML.
At least now I have a clear idea of where it's going, and I jumped ahead and wrote some of the porn, which is always the most difficult part for me, so now it's all longing looks, angst, and politics.
I forgot how exciting 45-44 BCE was. Caesar's stealing power and Mark Anthony's running naked through the streets of Rome and the Parthians are about to get their asses invaded (Parthians, you can thank the assassination of Caesar for that breather) and it's all just exceptionally interesting. Also, bath-houses.
Anyway. While I slave away on corrections to Dead Isle and additions to the as-yet untitled (oh dear) Roman Porn, have the new Dead Isle Chapter Five. (In which I found buried yet another chapter six, argh.)
