When I got home this evening I felt like I should announce it to someone. I MADE IT HOME. Like someone was worrying about me. Which wasn't the case, just, that was a triumphant success if ever there was one. Getting home from the offsite meeting I had to attend, between Bluesfest and the Cubs game, was no mean feat.

But instead of announcing it I collapsed on the bed and fell asleep in my clothes.

It has been a strange, hard week, and I've spent most of it tired, and the rest of it wondering if I have god damned malaria or mono or something. For the last few months I've been getting seven solid hours a night, most nights, which is more than I usually get; I've had to, in order to get up at the five AM required for my workout schedule (because it turns out doing the Wii Fit at five in the morning is actually way easier than doing it at five at night, as long as I have the workout pre-programmed and can actually find the energy to get out of bed).

It's just this week. This week where for most of Tuesday I thought it was Wednesday, and then Wednesday I went on a random food truck adventure, and Thursday I spent at home trying to catch up on stuff (and napping, because so tired) and today with the offsite, oh my god. The offsite was super useful, and I learned a lot -- including the fact that while I think being project manager for a twenty-person team is no big deal, apparently the six other project managers I met think otherwise -- but it wasn't exactly convenient.

Okay I'm going back to bed now. You kids entertain yourselves, watch a movie or something.
