The woman who replaced me as receptionist when I came to this job just came over to tell me she's off Reception duties for the week, as she's going to be handling scheduling for one of the VPs, and a temp will be filling in for her.
This VP lost her admin about two months ago and has gone through three since; it's not that she's a terrible person, she's quite nice, but her life is insane and most of the admins assigned to her were doing her scheduling on top of other duties, which was making them cry.
"Try not to cry," I told her.
"That's what the VP said," she replied nervously.
There but for the grace of Prospect Research go I, my friends.
