IT'S DAVOS TIME.

Every year in Switzerland the World Economic Forum holds a conference in a little town called Davos. This conference brings together some of the richest and most powerful people in the world to discuss the pressing issues of our day. It's the kind of event where you might legitimately fear you are standing in the same room as a political assassin. (There is at least one king attending.)

We call it "Davos" because Davos is easier to say than The World Economic Forum Conference. Clearly we are interested in any gathering of the rich and powerful, because it's an easy way to find people who might give us money. So every year we index the attendees, and then invite those to whose interests we are relevant to a party.

This year I am in charge of the DAVOS PROJECT. Which means I am setting up the initial spreadsheet where our research will eventually reside. I have been doing this all day.

I just misread the organization "Conference of European Rabbis" as "Conference of European Rabbits" and got the best image ever of a bunch of rabbits on tiny Vespas, zooming through the palazzos of Italy. It was like a reward for all the spreadsheeting I've been doing.
